Slightly similar to the Chaos Walking, Mortal Engines take place in the post-apocalyptic Earth, where cities have become huge vehicles that hunt each other for survival. Tom Natsworthy, working as an apprentice historian aboard London, was pushed off when he accidentally stumbles upon the Mayor’s plans: to make London the dominating predator. Setting out on a dangerous journey with a mysterious girl he met in the lowlands, he seeks to stop the Mayor from destroying all Traction Cities.
