Do you listen to the cries at night,
Of poor children filled with fright?
Do you care?
Do you wish for clothes and books
While small children steal like crooks?
Do you care?
Do you leave some scraps on your plate
While starving is another child's fate?
Do you care?
Do you ignore your teacher's speech
While poor children's education is breeched?
Do you care?
Do you read this poem again and again
Thinking what it must be like for them?
Do you care?
